HISTORY: Bill and Betsy Bailes started Bill's Tractor on a 50 acre farm
which could not be seen from any highway or road! The year was 1984 and
there were no employees, only a mobile home, log cabin and windmill. They
started with one small 9N Ford tractor, 3 or 4 implements, a utility trailer
and a 1/2 ton pickup.
From this humble beginning the business grew slowly. With the help of
several valued employees it has become one of the larger tractor and implement
dealerships in the San Antonio area. This has been done by taking care of
the customer and providing equipment at a fair price.
In 1997 the business moved 1/2 mile down the road into new facilities
on a major highway on the eastern outskirts of San Antonio, Texas. Located
on 4 acres with room enough to stock one of the largest assortments of tractors
and farm equipment in South Texas.
As of Jan. 1, 2000 there were 11 trained employees providing quality
service and warranty on all of the tractors and equipment sold.
The year 2001 was a red letter year when we became the largest seller
of Mahindra Tractors in the USA. We sold over 460 Mahindra Tractors during
the year.
The year 2002 was even better with sales of 700 for the year of new
Mahindra Tractors.

best service!
In 2003 we opened a branch Mahindra Dealership, Diamond B Tractor in
the Corpus Christi Area to better serve South Texas.
In February 2003, we opened a secure ONLINE STORE to purchase Mahindra
Parts and other new tractor parts at www.billstractor.net
and starting selling parts worldwide. We allied with South Texas Services
in Goliad, Texas for our Mahindra Tractors.
In 2004 we opened a second location in Liberty Hill, Texas, Bills Tractor,
Liberty Hill just northwest of Austin on Hwy. 29.
2007 was a wet weather year in our area and we sold over 800 new Mahindra
Tractors. Plus we were the largest Hustler Mower dealer in the State
and sold lots of Branson Tractors.
In 2008 we completed a new and larger service building plus increased
the size of the parts facilities in San Antonio.
In 2008 we also completed a new service building in Liberty Hill and
moved one of our best Technical people from San Antonio to run it.
In 2010 Bills Tractor became the only San Antonio & Liberty Hill
dealer to sell and service the BOBCAT COMPACT TRACTOR & UTV'S.
2010 we have approx. 25 employees to help serve you.
2011 has been a rough year for sales or service with no rain. Bill went
out of the "satellite business" by dropping their Mahindra Tractor
connection with the smaller dealers in Corpus Christi (Diamond B Tractors),
Goliad (South Texas Services) & Victoria (Farm Industrial) on September
1, 2011.
We have retail and wholesale accounts, and with our web site we now
provide information and sell parts, tractors, and implements worldwide!
